What is AmeriCorps?

 

AmeriCorps Members
AmeriCorps members provide direct service to children up to the age 5 and their families to help us address unmet needs. Examples of service that AmeriCorps members provide include:

  • Providing education through in-home visitation and parenting classes.
  • Increasing early literacy, language and school readiness skills in children.
  • Enrolling children into a health care plan and educating parents on access and utilization of these services.
  • Provide families with resources, referrals and linkages to needed services.

Full-time and Half-time opportunities are available. Members must commit to serving 1700 hours or 900 hours within 11 months.
