Fighting Poverty with Passion...

The First 5 Service Corps Program's goal is to ensure all children 0-5 are healthy and ready to learn when they enter school. The program works with leading California nonprofit organizations targeting families with young children to break the cycle of poverty through children's health and education.   First 5 offers individuals the opportunity to serve as AmeriCorps or VISTA members to help meet crucial community needs through direct client services, program development, marketing, fund development, and evaluation.   Participants immerse themselves through full time service and receive a wealth of benefits including $5,300 Educational Award, monthly living allowance, health insurance, housing stipend, training, and much more.
